Product Introduction of Cell Capsule:
"Cell Capsule" is a cell room-temperature transportation technology independently developed by Verygenome. This technology only requires ordinary test tubes and culture medium to store and carry most types of cells, maintaining high cell viability and preventing clumping during a one-week transportation period, with an applicable temperature range of 10°C to 37°C.
Through continuous in-house improvement, the current "Cell Capsule" technology maintains high cell viability within one week in room-temperature transportation experiments of tumor cell lines such as 293T, HepG2, and K562, as well as stem cells such as SD MSC. Transported cells were further evaluated by MTT assay, colony formation assay, cell proliferation assay, and bright-field microscopy to confirm intact biological function and good morphology.
Advantages of the Cell Capsule product:
Currently, there are mainly two cell transportation methods in use. One is frozen transportation, mainly using liquid nitrogen or dry ice, which is greatly affected by high-temperature weather, cannot ensure temperature stability during transportation, and incurs high transportation costs.
The other is room-temperature transportation by the culture flask filling method, which is prone to leakage and contamination, can carry only a limited number of cells, and causes adherent cells to easily detach or even clump during transportation, with cell viability significantly declining after 48 hours.
The "Cell Capsule" technology developed by our Verygenome eliminates the cumbersome procedures of cell freezing and thawing; it only requires two ordinary 5 mL test tubes to achieve room-temperature cell transportation, and temperature fluctuations during transit have almost no effect on cell status. The Cell Capsule has a small transportation volume, is easy to carry, and can be transported in an envelope; cells are wrapped inside the capsule, with the culture medium providing good buffering, free from shear force during transit, safe and stable, and free from the trouble of rough transportation. The Cell Capsule offers better sealing in test tubes than culture flasks, with no risk of leakage-induced contamination, greatly simplifying cell transportation and customs clearance procedures and breaking the limitations of traditional cell transportation.
